Product Red is a compilation of "Red" companies that support AIDS awareness and relief initiatives through their sale of Red products. A portion of proceeds from "Red" sales bring medicines to those who suffer from AIDS around the world. The company describes themselves not as a charity, but as a business model, allowing consumers to buy the products they need while saving lives at the same time.

Two classmates blogs
The first blog that I looked at was about American Eagle Outfitters and the recent protests affecting their company. This blog discusses reasons why the public is upset with American Eagle Outfitters and offers links to websites of protest groups and labor unions. It also offers links to blogs about the company's responses to these protest and marketing campaigns.
The second blog was about L'Oreal Sun makeup . The blog was created to discuss L'Oreal's promotion of a new makeup palette that will raise money for skin cancer research. Most posts discuss different trends in fashion and makeup and offer links to both websites and blogs that discuss everything from top beauty companies to the best eyeliners and lipsticks.

Two Blogs
This blog gives participants an opportunity to discuss all aspects of HIV and AIDS awareness, from news to advocacy to research. This blog is both an excellent resource and place to discuss any aspects of HIV and AIDS.
Another interesting blog is a more personal account of a man in Canada living with AIDS. The blog discusses this mans struggles to cope with the disease and offers links to videos and other sources to help tell his story.

The first website I visited was about general AIDS awareness and education. The objective of the organization is to educate about AIDS and HIV and provide a forum for knowledge exchange. The main page offers updated news about AIDS in areas such as public health and education and global challenges. The site also has links to FAQ's and gives visitors an opportunity to donate to AIDS.org and its cause.
The second was for an organization called HopeChild Sponsorship. This site is more specific in its discussion of AIDS and the impact of the disease in Africa. It specifically addresses the needs of children, families and communities that have been affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The organization offers some information about these issues and solicits donations that go directly to effected families in Africa.

AIDS Awareness Blog
The AIDS Awareness Blog gives users an opportunity to discuss a variety of topics related to HIV and AIDS awareness. I responded specifically to a blog about selling AIDS Ribbon Charms to promote awareness.
